The trick to stress-free fishing trips with kids is to be well organised, only take the gear you need and leave if the kids get disinterested. Think about the location you will be fishing, what facilities are available and try to have rods set up and ready to go before you leave home.
If you don’t know any fishing knots, try the uniknot as it is easy to learn and very strong. A running sinker is a reliable, simple rig that can be used to catch a range of fish found in estuaries right through the deep-water.
